Wendi Tvedt, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, LADC

 

Wendi has 30 years of experience working in the nursing field. She has worked with all ages, currently specializing in ages 6+; and over the last 15 years she has worked in public health and has both psychiatric and substance use experience. In addition, Wendi also has over 4 years experience working as an LADC. She graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in 1992 with her Bachelor of Arts in Nursing. Wendi has furthured her education and received her Chemical Dependency certificate from Fon Du Lac Tribal and Community College in 2017 and holds her license as an alcohol and drug counselor. In May of 2021 she received her Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University of St. Louis. Wendi is trained in the evidence based parenting program Circles of Security and trained as a lactation counselor. 

 

Everyday life impacts both our physical and mental health. Wendi utilizes a patient centered approach to health and well-being. She provides a warm, welcoming atmosphere, respect, individuality, and support of one's goals. Patients are included in the development of their treatment plan and ongoing care. Through her training she utilizes evidence-based medications and approaches to treat psychiatric/mental health disorders and remains up to date on current therapies.

 

In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her family and working on the farm. Wendi's hobbies include crocheting, candle and soap making, horseback riding, gardening both vegetable and flower, kayaking and snowshoeing.
