Shayna Hamiel, DNP, APRN, CPNP-PC

 

Shayna Hamiel offers Developmental and Behavioral Pediatric services to help support children and adolescents with developmental, behavioral, and physical or mental health concerns. She prioritizes helping youth understand themselves and access proper services and supports. She utilizes biobehavioral approaches and medication management as needed. 

 

Shayna practices within the social model of disability with neurodiversity-affirming care and a strengths-based approach. She keeps the person’s best interests at the center and is committed to partnering with youth and their families as experts on themselves. She also partners with other providers and educators to recommend additional services as needed.


 

Services offered:

  • Initial consultation - for children of all ages to discuss developmental concerns or challenges with recommendations for next steps

  • Autism/ADHD assessments - ages 6-21*

  • Ongoing management for

  • Autism

  • ADHD

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Executive functioning

  • Emotional regulation

  • Sensory processing

  • Sleep, eating, or elimination concerns

*Please note that if a child has suspected intellectual disability, learning disability, or complex communication needs, they would be better served with full neuropsychological testing. For those children or children under age 6, next steps after consultation will generally include outside referrals for testing with ongoing management offered as appropriate.
